You are invited to join one of PETA’s favorite TV personalities Jane Velez-Mitchell—host of HLN’s Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell—as Emmy Award-winning TV news correspondent Ashleigh Banfield interviews her on stage about her new book, iWant: My Journey from Addiction and Consumption to a Simpler, Honest Life
In the book, Velez-Mitchell shares how getting sober empowered her to become a vegan and devote her life to ending animal suffering. A dedicated animal rights activist who fights hard to bring animal welfare issues to the masses, Velez-Mitchell’s book includes a section on purchasing items using a “kindness inventory,” and outlines her ground-breaking coverage of animal issues including pig gestation crates, primate laboratory cruelty, and the horse racing and horse slaughter industry. PETA staffers including PETA president and co-founder Ingrid E. Newkirk are regular guests on her popular show.
The event is open to the public and will be a great learning experience for anyone who wants to live a more serene and authentic animal-friendly existence. Please bring friends and family members!
